The school bells are ringing!
Parents all over New Zealand are getting set to make donations to their schools, to help cover Government funding shortfalls and buy computers, sports equipment, art supplies, teaching aids and all those extras to make 2012 a success for their kids.
Public schools are community organisations, and as such are eligible to receive tax-deductable donations (but not fees) through payroll giving.
Telecom employees who make school donations through payroll giving receive a two-fold benefit – one for themselves and one for their schools – so everybody wins!
Before you go further – an important note: payroll giving can only be used for donations, not fees.
Get more for your school
Telecom will match your donation when you make it through payroll giving – meaning your school will get double your contribution.
Keep more in your wallet
Payroll giving your donation attracts an immediate 33% tax credit on the amount you are donating. Your wallet will thank you for it.
